Visual Arts Complex
Next door to the UMC and just north of Euclid AutoPark is the state-of-the-art Visual Arts Complex, which houses the CU Art Museum and the Department of Art and Art History. With exhibition galleries, studios, community workshop spaces and a 200-seat auditorium, the environmentally friendly facility is a cultural gateway for the CU Boulder campus and community.
The complex provides a dynamic home for the art museum’s permanent collection. Occupying the first two floors of the east wing, the museum features 8,000 square feet of exhibition space with four galleries and a state-of-the-art storage facility for the collection of over 8,500 objects. The art museum also features a fully wired classroom in its collection study center, allowing classes to engage in direct object-based research on works in the collection.
